Why Warrior Nation Foundation?
My whole life has been deeply connected to ministry. I grew up in a pastor’s home, spent time on staff, planted a church in Las Vegas, and have led multiple large churches. I have learned that ministry is complex and confusing on a personal level, for families, and also in managing the difficulties and complexities of church life.
I know what it is like to do ministry in an unhealthy way and how to do it when I am living and leading from health and wholeness. My burden is for pastors and leaders who are losing their soul while they are pursuing their calling. Many of these are under-resourced and leading while experiencing loneliness and pressure.
- 46% of pastors under the age of 45 are considering quitting
- 34% of pastors 45+ are considering leaving the ministry.
- 1500 pastors leave the ministry every month.
- Only 33% of all pastors consider themselves to be healthy in their personal life while serving in ministry
These Servant Warrior’s are much like the people that come home from military service. They need the care and resources to help them stay healthy in their personal life, family life, and ministry life so that we can keep them on the front lines.
God has given us a unique opportunity to meet this need in the following ways.
Retreat and Conference Center
We purchased a 17 acre retreat center near St. Simon Island where we currently host retreats for ministry leaders all over the country. These retreats are making a transformational impact in their lives and we are looking to expand them. It is our physical hub for ministry to pastor’s, their families, and churches. Our goal is for this place to be where leaders can get away for coaching, mentoring, and recovery from ministry pressure and problems. Coaching and Mentoring with Pastors and Ministry Leaders
Relying on over 20 years of ministry experience and utilizing training and curriculum that is designed to assess, develop, train, and grow leaders in all facets of personal and professional life. We are equipped to help ministry leaders to build life plans and strategic leadership strategies to meet current challenges.
Soul Care for Pastors and Ministry Leaders
In addition to on site retreats and coaching we offer virtual training for leaders that need to reassess their spiritual disciplines and walk with God. This 8 week curriculum on Abiding from John 15, developed by Henry Blackaby and Rich Case teaches people how to hear the voice of God and enables them to tap into the word of God to live a full and fruitful life.
Clarity Events for Pastor’s and Ministry Leaders
Capitalizing on open doors that God has given we fill speaking requests from churches and church movements to help pastors in larger settings to move toward health and wholeness.
Additionally, we bear the cost of providing regional events that bring pastors and leaders together for the purpose of soul-care as well as strategic discussions on gospel advancement.
We are excited to come along side these ministry leaders and help them not loose their soul as they lead God’s church.
